Miley

I had the oppourtunity to shoot another newborn this week. Oh my gosh, she just filled up the room with her ooey gooey cutie baby goodness. She was here a little over two hours and I think she slept oh maybe 15 minutes. Her mom and I had the notion that we would be photographing her sleeping, but Miley had other ideas. This baby knew what she wanted and that was to be awake. It's all okay though, she was so bright and such a sweet little thing that I think I fell over and over and over in love. (even though she peed on my really cute baby box) A special thank you out to her mom and family for sharing her little girl with me!

Another new toy!

So this week, I decided that I couldn't live without this toy. I am not going to name it as it's so fabulous. It's my "he who can't be named" toy. I called my supplier in Calgary to see if I could get one for my particular brand of lights. They told me they would have to get it from Toronto which meant that it would be a week until it got here. Anyone who knows me knows that when god was handing out "patience" I was absent. So next week wasn't good enough. I called Toronto and they shipped it by mail. You can imagine my "sing song" delight when it arrived at my door the next afternoon! It took me forever to get it put together and after some swearing and lots of aggravated tears it was set up. The next obstacle was fastening it to my lights. you guessed it! It my hurry to order the darn thing, I didn't get the right one. Thank goodness I am married to a fantastic tin basher and he managed to make me a collar so that I could fasten it to the light. Here are some samples of what that new baby can do!

My poor children

lol..I say this with my tongue firmly stuck inside my cheek of course. Last week I was home with the kids for 4 days. During the routine clean up of the studio I decided that I really need to try a few new things. They cautiously came down to the studio when called. My kids are so sick of posing. However when I showed them my new ideas they quickly became excited. I don't know if it was because I was excited or if by chance the ideas really intrigued them. These are the results.

Valentines Promo -Lisa-

Because of the personal nature of the glamour valentines promo, I unfortunately can't post the photos of our session. What I can do is let you know that this girl really knew how to rock it out for the camera. Her gorgeous eyes and vivacious smile made the shoot so much fun!

Stacey

It's been a very hectic few weeks. I was super happy to have a friend stop by break up the madness of my schedule. Stacey came down on business, but stayed with us and we had a great visit. I even managed to convince her to pose for me on the last night of her stay. She did so well! My friend Stacey turned out to be a natural in front of the camera.

Selwood Girls

Every year on their birthday I take the selwood children's photos. These are displayed in their living room for the year and then we replace them at birthday time. We took the usual photos of the youngest (my god daughter) and then headed down into the studio for some fun.

New Lights

I hope everyone's Christmas was great. My hubby got me a new light. Now this baby is not a necessity but a gorgeous piece of equipment that allows fabulous fashion and glamour shots. I gave the light a good work out just after christmas and can't wait to use it on one of my gorgeous clients. (Yes I am talking about you)

It's a dog life at the dog house

Marty and his band mates played another show at the Dog House here in Medicine Hat. I finished the Earl Family shoot and rushed off with some friends to go and watch him play. They did really well, better than they had done the last time. I took a different approach this time with the photography. This time I wanted to capture all of the lighting that was on the stage this time. It was a lot of fun and I think the boys are getting used to having me around.
