BIRS Annual Fun Run

This weekend the BIRS annual Fun run took place. The Brain Injury Relearning service hosts an annual fun run to raise money for funding their local projects here in Medicine Hat. I was asked again this year if I would donate my time and take finish line photos for association to help their cause.. I am truly honored to be able to help out and donate my time. This year they were graced with the presence of Patch Adams. He set off the start gun for the 10km/5km race. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet him or hear him speak later that evening. Congratulations to Murray Barker who won the men's 1/2 Marathon.

South Pacific 2007

Madchen Studios was asked this year to donate their photography for the local Musical Theatre. We went on location on October 29 and shot 26 groups in just under 3 hours. My husband (and second shooter) was instrumental in making the night flow so easily. He was my director, props manager, lighting tech and assistant. The photos turned out awesome and I believe we produced some nice images for the program.

Brain Injury Relearning Services Fun Run 2007

I help out Brain Injury Relearning Services by offering to shoot their fun run finish line photos. I am starting to do this on an annual basis for them. They are able to sell the prints and make some good money for their program. The day started early and cold, but once I was set up, time seem to fly by and a little sunshine started to warm us up. The fun run's numbers were down this year which is unfortunate. Hopefully next year they will have a greater attendance list. The kids from Eagle Butte High School participated (and dominated) again this year. It's fantastic to see such caring and community responsibility from the youth there.
