I spent the early evening shooting my sister in law and neice and nephew. The kids were way more interested in playing with my kids than takng their photos Eventually we got their attention and were able to shoot away some pretty precious moments.

Tammy, and my two Favourite kids!
School starts again. This time for the photographer
I am taking some more online courses in photography. You can never learn too much right? This weeks assignment was to use a lens that we love and shoot some very fast portraits in our normal style. Then after 10 minutes, we were asked to shoot using a different lens than what we normally use and try to shoot from angles that we never do. It was tough, but I did manage to get some good ones. My friend Brian was chosen to be my model as I don't get a chance to shoot many men.

Andrew's Wedding
It seems as though the rash of weddings that my friends are involved in is coming to an end. It's sad really, I believe there is just a few left. I took my camera, and limited flash and lens as I was not the official photographer on this wedding. It's nice to just be a guest and friend when you want to be able to take it all in. These photos were not just taken by me, but my husband (my usual second shooter) and my friend J.P. The night went by in such a fury of fun, I really don't know who took what shot anymore.

The Remorse Code
My husband, brother and their friends played thier first show! I was lucky enough to be asked to be their official photographer. The boys were so nervous at first, but once they started playing a calm stated to set in. Everything went really well and then Marty broke a string. One of the other bands there lent him thier guitar and he was able to keep playing. Here are some of my favourites from the night.

September is time for back to school AND Family photos
Tonight I got I got to capture a fantastic family in action. Unfortunately for the two teenage boys they had to get their photos taken in order for that to happen. Seriously though, they were also fantastic and patient as they were placed, posed, then moved and placed and posed again. After the family photos were finished, the boys left and the parents got some one on one face time. It was so nice to see them by themselves.

Devon

I brought the camera to work today. My student needed some photos for a school project that she is working on. We took a few more serious ones, and then moved on to some that were a little more light hearted.. It wasn't long before she convinced some other staff members to join her in the fun.

What to do with your time.
My kids thought they were off the hook as the studio was getting busier and busier with photos I didn't have a have shoot booked until Sunday so they were roped in again. There is a bush of flowers in our back yard that only blooms in the early fall. I really wanted to get some photos of the kids outside with it. Today it was too cold so I asked my daughter to pose. There are all her ideas.

Brain Injury Relearning Services Fun Run 2007
I help out Brain Injury Relearning Services by offering to shoot their fun run finish line photos. I am starting to do this on an annual basis for them. They are able to sell the prints and make some good money for their program. The day started early and cold, but once I was set up, time seem to fly by and a little sunshine started to warm us up. The fun run's numbers were down this year which is unfortunate. Hopefully next year they will have a greater attendance list. The kids from Eagle Butte High School participated (and dominated) again this year. It's fantastic to see such caring and community responsibility from the youth there. Here are some photos from the shoot.

Male semi nude
This was my first time with a male model other than my hubby. I think he did a great job, he was very easy to photograph. These are my favourites from this session

Earl Wedding
I can only hope that these photos illustrate the fun, love, and great family that I witnessed throughout this day. I started the day early with alicia and her bridal party at the hair salon. Meanwhile Marty (my second shooter and love of my life) took on the boys at Calvins house. I followed the girls back up to Alicia's mom's house so that they could finishing beautifying and getting dressed. They got married at Holy Family Parish by Deacon Rissling. He did a great job with the ceremony. We then moved on to Kin coulee to find the spots we wanted to shoot in were taken. We found a little area nestled in the trees and took some beautiful and super fun formals. Did I mention the bride was a knock out? The wedding party was a blast and it was nice to see the support and love offered to the happy couple. The reception was full of laughter and tears. A slideshow, loud music, singing and dancing followed. I wish this couple all the happiest of moments in the future. They deserve it!
